“Well, if she ever gets out, I can always try and help you find her,” he says, as he continues to pry the claws off his shirt, “Yeah, I’m all right thanks,” he adds, getting up onto his feet completely now.

He looks back at the cat as it looks at him. He has to admit that the cat is adorable. He can only wonder how it got into the base though. No, the cat wasn’t an ‘it,’ it was a ‘she’, Oz had just said though.
“Where did you get her?” he asked, briefly flicking back to the vending machine for a second.

*Oz has ended up standing between Russell and the vending machine, but doesn’t pay much attention to this fact. It’s only Bonk!, after all.*

From a friend. His brother had a spare kitten, I guess, and I think he may have heard my roommate say something about wanting a cat. Um… *hesitates, knowing now that Russell has a boyfriend and maybe it would be all right to hint about the relationship without making a big deal of it* You’ve met Narcisse, haven’t you? Bonnibelle is ours. *scratches the kitten behind the ears* Aren’t you, Belle?

*Bonnibelle’s eyes sink half closed, but she continues to watch Russell keenly. She either likes him from their quite brief acquaintance so far or has spotted another Mt. Everest.*

((I am sorry about that delayed response. I went to bed and forgot to mention it.))

Russell kept still, trying not to look at the vending machine again. Maybe if he just kept himself distracted from it, he could keep the craving away. Maybe he could just look at Oz or the cat.

“Yeah, I’ve met Narcisse, he’s all right,” Russell said, “Aww, that’s cute. It’s kind of sweet that you got her then because Narcisse wanted one,” he added, not quite getting that Oz meant that they were in a relationship, not that he would have disapproved.

“She is adorable too, I used to see a lot of cats back home, you know,” he said, “I wonder if she’s seen something on me,” he checked himself over for a moment.
